Dream Singer
Canyon of the ancestors
Hidden from all but us
Intermingling the living and dead
We dance for them as required
Dream singer prepares her quest
In a circle we dance round and round
Moving to the beat of drums
As the fire grows higher
We start spinning fast
As drums and fire meet and combust
Dream singer still in trance
We wonder what glories she sees
Finally released from spirit
She looked at us sadness on her face
We all push in to hear her prophecy
She stands slowly as if aged in time
Indeed she looks much older
She raises her hand and all is silent
A gasp is heard as the tears flow from her face
This will be my final dance, death comes soon
What of us is asked who will be our dreamer
No one she replies quietly
There is not enough time left for me
No dreamer has ever made it with out the secrets
Soon you will all leave on a terrible journey
I see trails and trails of blood and tears
Everything you had lost to you
Be strong my people lest you all die
I will watch you from spirit world
Go do more then survive; thrive
The road will be long and hard
Many will meet the ancestors along the way
To those that reach new homes do not hate
We have a purpose yet on this world
She begins to sing her final dream song

Communion with God
Inside buried deep in the brain secrets remain
Of how men once flew
Communion with God was an everyday thing
He walked among the people curing with his hand
Then on a stormy night, he gathered all his children
Said it was his time to go
Women cried, men shouted
The chiildren all smiled
They knew the secrets from the day of birth
Weighed and judged it for what it was worth
No fear or apprehension they understood the gift
Free will to all humans a chance to be different
God raised his mighty voice
One of you must come with me
We go to spread the truth
One day or a millennium we will return
Look to the skies, I will send fair warning
Then humanity will meet me at the Gate
You will then speak your story
Then on that day you all learn your fate
Use the gifts I leave to do honorable work
Take care of your planet for what it is worth
Make no wars upon the land
To do so will bring the end
He then chose a young man
Into the sky they rose on a beam of light
For years the people obeyed the laws
But as the population grew so did it's anger
The wars had started and could not be stopped
Humanity became a cruel race
Hurting not just each other
But Mother Earth upon who's good will they lived
The Mother shook with anger quakes killing many
Her tears became lakes, rivers, even oceans
Frustration created volcanoes wet fire pouring from wounds
Death and starvation everywhere
After an eon or two God returned
Expecting the people there to be rejoicing
Instead he found a devestated world
What now asked the young man, tears pouring
Will you just destroy this planet
Or give it a second chance
God looked down at the young man
Smiled and patted his head
I brought something for every out come
He motioned with his hand
A beautiful woman appeared at his side
Adam may I introduce you to my daughter, Eve

The Convoluted Psychotic Mind
My thoughts today have ran away
A Chicken on a leash
Too far from paradise
We bend our heads and weep
Yesterday the sky was pink
We danced in the rays of the sun
Playing my guitar strumming on
A question distracts me
What is that inside my brain
Hiding from the whole world
A game of chance or chess
Convoluted psychotic mind
Sang a crazy song
Dancing on the edge of the world
Awaiting gravity's pull
Too many colors in my rainbow head
Screaming from the outside in
Realities a blur
Sleep for twenty hours or not for twenty days
Changed the light bulb over my head
A spider crawled down inside my hair
This is the inside of my mind
Convoluted stories written in shame
Laughing all the way home
Upside down and sideways
Psychotic they call it
Poisoned from deep sleep
Words as colors in gratitude
Can you hear the melody
Or has the chourus ripped your ear
Too many ways to all fall down
Locked up in a circus arena
No one sees the eyes
Pretty patches of buttercups lost in time
No holds barred gathering moss as it goes
A fortune written in stone for all eternity

Stranded in an Effervescent Void
Stranded in an Effervescent Void
Stranded
Dropped off and left in the void
A place filled with effervescing music
The kind that makes you scream
My ears,the horror!
Driving me mad
I hitchhike standing on a bubble thumb out
Waiting for someone comes along
Damn bubble burst
Damn the bubble busters
Dedicated as the are to rid the world
Of toxic words
Leap to another a group of balloons
Trying to transmogrify into new notes
To escape this maniacal place
The void making a banquet of everything entering
In the distance I see it's gaping mouth
Jumping from bubble to balloon as they froth up in unison
Turning shades of color
Tempting me with new songs
Terrible thoughts fill my head
Avoid the void!!
My thumb has turned fuchsia in it's frustration
This highway to hell getting hotter
Feeling my brain cells cooking,dying
Salvation it seems is not coming
Think think must be something...
Slowly as I feel a new nerve connection inside my brain
An idea arrives
As I close in on those gaping jaws
Acapella!!!
So raising my own voice
Inventing a new song the void has yet to hear
Sing sing!!
At the very moment that I thought to be consumed
The voids mouth closed
A larger burp of cosmic reality left in it's wake
Free at last my memory sets it's self to erase
To remember such a place detrimental to peace of mind
The alarm clock goes off, loudly playing it's own tune
Time to wake up the void gone with the day

Ubiquity and other Earth Bound Anomaly
Ubiquity and other Earth Bound Anomaly
Long work day
Boss angry and impatient
Yes sir be right there, need to get the files
Sitting on my desk, a bouquet of Impatiens
Beautifully arranged with rainbow colors
No note or card to see who sent it
Just another Earth bound anomaly
Among many
Started noticing things a few years ago
Repeating patterns showing up
It might be graffiti on a wall made to go unnoticed
I saw it the other day in a magazine
Then on some woman's shirt
En -blazed on some Harley
It's owner took a liking to me
Seemed ubiquitous, but the pattern followed his trail
Sometimes camouflaged inside another pattern
At the museum it was hidden in twelve paintings
One canvass drew my eyes instantly
It WAS the pattern
A map to some unknown place or mystery perhaps
The oldest one was from the sixteenth century
It too had an anomaly, though wasn't sure if it was Earth bound
A mysterious object in the sky
A man in the painting looking up at it pointing
The pattern I have spoke of before
I just KNOW if I could decipher the code
The meanings and means of it's origins
The key to both past and present
Even future events would be clear to me
Awed and amazing
I wonder if anyone else sees this
Do we dare
Are we ready
For the knowledge of all mankind
Ubiquity and other Earth Bound Anomalies
Do we need the answers
Aren't some mysteries best let be
If the book of fate broke the code
Would I be strong enough to read it
How about you?
Should it even be opened at all
You decide,
Tonight another task awaits,
I grow weary of it all
